Julianne Moore

I love the New York Times Style Magazine and I am loving this cover.  Let's not forget the lady is 49, a testament to us all don't you think?  The entire look of the shot is incredibly hot and theatrical, not to mention the amazing necklace!  To read the full story on Women's Fashion 2010 click here.

Capri

I woke up today wishing I was on this beautiful island.  I saw myself lazying around in a fabulous villa, then strolling into La Piazzetta for a cappuccino, breakfast and a little shopping.....Then off to a gorgeous beach, maybe one with a towel service or maybe a little private white sand paradise.....of course after I would find myself at a wonderful spa to round out my glorious day and would then head back to the villa for a cat nap....At sunset I'd be refreshed, wearing something amazing and would wander back into town with a fabulous lover on my arm to enjoy an incredible evening in this wonderland...

LA Fashion Week

I looked at many collections from this event and wasn't surprised that a lot LA fashion just isn't me (and I'm a So Cal native)....that was until I found shots from Directives West FIRST.LA debut and found clothes I would for sure add to my wardrobe (and could see a few of my fabulous friends wearing as well.....) Below are some looks that are chic and stylish in a California easy breezy way with a couple of cocktail dresses that sizzle.  Let's start with two outfits from Black Collection.

Next are two outfits with tops from Verses and bottoms from Nobilita.

Here are two looks that I LOVE, the left image is from Collective Concepts and the right is LD by Line Dot (top) and Easy Money Bottoms.

Last but not least here are two dresses from Urban Behavior that are pretty spicy......I'd rock them for sure, the one to the left is sooo Dynasty, I would wear it channeling my inner Joan.

Japanese Jewel

OK, so it started with Tokyo and let me tell you I had to fight for that post, I don't know about the rest of you but Blogger seems a bit challenging at times and I would not give up!  Well, my perseverance was rewarded because when I went out hunting for jewels right after I found this incredible japanese bracelet in amazing condition to add to my La Feem Vintage Jewelry Collection.  When I arrived home and clicked a quick mix on Pandora The Japanese Motors came on (I swear) then as I went searching for post ideas I came across Japanese Fashion Week and it was just on, it's been a Japanese kind of week and I think it's a sign I'm going there soon.  (I celebrated this idea with beer and sake last night, my favorite combination.)  To see this and other La Feem jewels click here and if your more of a home goods fan there's a link to my vintage home store in the announcements section, it's tiny but growing....I have many new items that will post soon!

Happy Friday everyone, enjoy your weekend!!

Japanese Fashion Week

I know I'm on a Japanese theme and warning it will continue tomorrow (good things come in threes and when the Universe points in a direction I've learned to roll with it.)  After yesterday's post I realized its fashion week in Tokyo and we have to go there.  I've seen quite a range so far, how are these hats by Mint Designs?  I'm sure Lady Gaga's peeps are on the  phone placing an order right now....I love the capes, jackets and wraps as well and the bottoms of the flowing dresses are catching my eye but after a quick recap I have to say my favorite collection so far is by men's designer Kazuhiro Takakura.  The collection @Isreel is pretty hot and very Japanese street.

And I loved a few of the simple black pieces shown at Entopic, wearable, comfortable and sleek....

For more looks google Japanese Fashion week 2010, there's a lot to see!

Elle Decor went to this spectacular city and I was so inspired by the photos of these incredible buildings.  They're modern and magnificent, each with lines that are artistic, clean and designed with the elements in mind (earth, air, water, etc.)  I really want to go, it's on my short list and remember if your there lost after too much sake and can't find the Chanel store just look up.

Style Maven

(Photo New York Magazine)

Fitting title for French Vogue editor in chief Carine Rotfield, this woman is a total fashion plate. She's extremely beautiful (of course, she's french) and has amazing style.  I love how she goes from easy breezy to drop dead gorgeous all while being extremely photogenic. The life of the fabulous french....

Let's Not Forget Adam Ant...

It popped into my head that out of the 50 most stylish men I posted about last week Adam Ant was left off the list. He was my FAVORITE, that white stripe was so sexy and I don't think anyone has yet to compare.  His music, style and swagger was one of a kind, he is definitely an addition to my top picks.

Katey Brunini

I had the pleasure of meeting Katey Brunini back in 1999 when her line was only a year old, she showed her work in an art show I put on with three other friends and I knew then she would be big.  Her talent is immense and her style is distinct creating jewelry that incorporates elements of nature.  The pieces above are a great example of this but her range is wide and varied, I recommend you take a look at it all.  Personally I dream of owning a row of her signature twig bracelets, it's on my list of musts in this lifetime.  To see the twigs and other jewels in her current collection click here.

GQ's Most Stylish Men

There are many famous men who have looked sharp as heck and GQ has decided who the top 50 are from the last 50 years.  Here are ten of my favorites in no particular order.

Anyone who single handedly created the faux hawk has to be on my list, I'm sorry to all who disagree but I've been wanting this hairstyle to make a comeback, as a matter of fact I'm going to predict one!

There were at least ten others I liked just as much but in life I'm learning to edit, to see the entire list click here.
