Madewell's "Looks We Love"

What fun summertime wear from Madewell, Arizona Muse looks absolutely adorable in these very cute clothes.  It's all so easy breezy, the muted colors are fantastic and I'm loving the hats, sunnies, wedges and espadrilles.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend, mine was very relaxing to say the least and filled with some good times with special friends.  Two more weeks and its official.

Nixon

Loving these cool Nixon watches for ladies, they're quite sharp with a bit of masculine charm and would make a fun summer accessory.  This brand is fantastic and I don't just say that because they're from my hometown and sponsor amazing action sports heros, I say it because they truly make a very stylish product.  Julia had one on the other day and it looked good, that girl knows where its at.

Linda Evangelista~Icon

Modeling for Talbots in 2010

Yesterday I came across the top picture of Linda Evangelista on Fashionising and was transported back in time when this supermodel reigned supreme (with a handful of her gorgeous friends).  Her look was so unique, outrageously gorgeous and totally fascinating.  She continually took jaw dropping photos throughout her career and as we see above still looks stunning.  Personally I think she could give any one of the girls today a run for their money.

Two For Summer

These are two fabulous dresses (and one amazing jacket) from Vogue Hellas for the pending months.  So fun, sexy and flirty while still being proper, just what I like.

Prabal Gurung + J. Crew

What a smart and fresh collaboration.  Loving the colors and cuts of these clothes and loving the shoes as well, all so cute and perfect for summer!  J. Crew just keeps on bringing it and are genius to work with the CFDA/VOGUE Fashion Fund by having runners up Prabal Gurung , Eddie Borgo (featured next month) and winner Billy Reid each create a capsule collection sold in select stores and on line.  Its going to be one chic season to remember.

Let's Go Surfing Now

I know these two might not be for everyone but I can't even explain how much I love these photos and how much they warm my So Cal heart.  The editorial is from Vogue Spain but I swear this couple is straight out of Venice/Santa Monica and they're hot to trot, it's such a fine edgy beach vibe. The hair is messy bun perfection, the make up is 'natural' at its best, the clothes are super cute and the board itself is gorgeous.

Incredible Rings, Incredible Art

How incredibly gorgeous are these rings by Dawes Design??  Designer Jennifer Dawes has some serious metal smithing skills!  On her website it's explained that they're made to be stacked and can even be bought and worn interweaving different collections.  Not only are they stunning and each handmade they're also completely Eco friendly.  She uses recycled gold, conflict free diamonds and responsibly mined stones and has created Sustainably Beautiful which is her initiative to design jewelry with social and environmental accountability.  


I was introduced to this line by my friend Allison Renshaw who's very good friends with Jennifer and an amazing artist herself.  Allison paints incredible abstract pieces using mixed media and has shown all over the country.  She had an exhibition at the Oceanside Museum of Art last year and I was absolutely blown away by the magnificence of each piece.  I own a small Renshaw and it's literally one of my prized possessions, she's definitely one to watch.

Lovely

I think this cover is lovely and hopefully a lot less scary than the photos of yesterday's model, she seemed to be a bit intimidating for some of you (ha ha) although personally I loved her.  I guess the dormant painter in me comes out sometimes, I loved the intensity!

Incredibly Unique

I'm loving these unique pieces from the June issue of Dazed and Confused, all so different from one another and all so cool.  The first reminds me of the amazing pillows Samantha from Vintage is for Lovers has created with vintage quilts she's collected over the years.  We had a trunk show together last week and I saw them live, talk about unique!
